Lights? Class! Acting!
I am back in class! After a well-deserved vacation, Suzanna is back and I am ready to do some acting. On Monday I got a scene from La La Land with a guy I worked with on Diablo last Fall, where we got into a discussion about all the Oscar nominated films, as well as what constitutes a spoiler. The scene itself has lots of levels, and it will be fun to play around with it and figure out when it switches from a conversation to a fight, and how to take certain things. It was really fun as a cold read, and should be even better next week! Last…

A Perfect Labor Day Weekend
When I left work on Friday, everyone was anticipating the long weekend. Yesterday was Labor Day, which could have meant 3 days spent lounging by the pool, catching up on some reading…a vacation. Instead, I got to do something a million times better. I got to act and do what I love all 3 days. So instead, I did a little bit of everything and had a wonderful time 🙂 On Saturday, we went for a bike ride to Old Beloeil, where we ate at Brasseurs du Moulin, a new microbrasserie. We all shared the meat lover’s pizza, nachos and caesar salad. All were delicious, but I am not sure about leeks in my nachos…My mom usually hates eating outside, because of the bugs, but we ate on the terrasse, with the mountain and the river in the background. It was a great…

Quebec City and A Table Read
I just spent a lovely weekend in Quebec City, celebrating some birthdays, eating at fancy restaurants and taking in the historic views. On Saturday we walked around the city, even scaling some hills to get better views, before spending Sunday morning exploring a canyon that housed a waterfall. It wasn’t the hike we were expecting, and there were a lot of stairs, but it was absolutely beautiful. I also wowed with my slightly more than non-existent skills on the monkey bars. I promised to keep working on my upper body strength so I can do the whole thing next year 😉 Yesterday, in addition to working on some scenes and…
