I didn’t die! :)
So, I just wanted to start off this post by letting everyone know that I not only survived Tough Mudder on July 12th, but I actually completed all but one of the obstacles. And I have the battle wounds to prove it. I am black and blue and really surprised myself with what I accomplished. It is so incredible to see so many people come together like that. Summer
It is shaping up to be a busy summer, and although I wish more of it was acting and less of it was my other job, I have to look on the bright side, that I am making money to support my dreams. Luckily, I also got to make some money on set:) As I mentioned in my last post, I was an extra on the 19th. I am used to really early call times that finish in the evening, but this time I had an afternoon call time with the possibility of an overnight shoot. You’ve all heard me mention Sex & Ethnicity, an amazing webseries made by and featuring the best of Montreal’s acting pool. Extras, Parties and suits
When I last wrote, I was preaching about possibilities, which is exactly what was given to me. I had a music video shoot all booked on Friday, but it was an outdoor shoot, and anyone who was in Montreal last Friday knows that it was pouring, so the shoot got cancelled. Obviously, that sucked. A World of Possibilities
Carolyne and I were discussing the ups and downs of our chosen career path, and we came to the conclusion that often, our optimism is determined not by all the amazing work we have already done, but by whether we have any future projects booked. A Time for Firsts
I believe I mentionned that Carolyne and I decided this would be our year, and things are looking good 🙂 Last Thursday after I finished work, Carolyne and I met up for some menchies and talking about our careers. So much is going on these days, a lot of it in my mind, but a goal without a plan is just a dream, right? After my last blog post, I decided to check in on a few things I had previously sent out. Some people kept radio silence, which I assume means the projects/classes are no longer happening, but I did find out that there will be stunt classes this summer, and I got a fitting for 2 days on set as an extra. Busy Days and Nights
It feels like I haven’t blogged in forever! And yes, I have been busy, but not only on the acting front. I recently started working for my old employers to help out a new acquisition, which means I currently have less time for artistic endeavours, but it also makes it a lot easier to take classes and advance my career from a financial standpoint. Following my post last week, I headed out to menchies to meet up with Carolyne. It was a birthday/catching up/ career discussing meeting. Of course, with the frequency we are meeting at, we barely scrape the surface, so we are going to have to start meeting more often.
