January 2019
This year started off with me joining in on a lot of new traditions. After having celebrated Christmas with my family, we came back to Toronto to celebrate New Year’s with my boyfriend’s. New Year’s is a big deal in his family, so we went to a dinner/party on the 31st, then spent most of the 1st at his parents’, where friends came over to ring in the New Year. It was a short stay in Toronto before we went back to Montreal for Rikki and Jonathan’s wedding. We decorated the hall and had a little party on Friday before a sleepover, then Saturday was all about hair and makeup…

All Kinds of Reading
I have a week’s worth of fun acting things to share with you 🙂 First off, I filmed a few scenes for a horror movie last weekend. It’s the one where we have no script, so the director basically tells us what has to happen in the scene, and then we improvise. What makes it even more interesting is that it is being filmed on a gopro, and my costar is the one filming, in character, so I have no idea what I look like, or even when the camera will be on me. This is a project I really cannot wait to see the finished product of, because it…

September 2016
Near the end of every month, I start making a list of goals to accomplish over the next 30 days, because the 1st always seems like the perfect day to start again with a blank slate, or turn over a new leaf. Unfortunately, I often let myself get sidetracked, and convince myself things aren’t as important as I had made them out to be, which leads to certain things being continuously moved from month to month, never getting done. Years ago, I used to share my goals for the month in a blog post, which even if no one replied to, still held me accountable, and kept me motivated to…

Surprise Auditions and Getting Ready
So last week, pretty much exactly when I finished the last blog post, I got an email requesting me to come to an audition that evening. It came from a girl I had submitted to in July, for something completely different, and hadn’t heard from since. Sometimes it amazes me how some auditions come to be. The audition was for a teenager, which is in my playing range, but I was the only one there who drove myself and didn’t have a parent waiting with me. Since it is for a commercial thing and not a show, I think they might actually be looking for someone that young looking, although…

Making Plans and Finishing Screenplays :)
If you say something enough times, it becomes true, right? Well, just in case there is a correlation, I am reminding the powers that be that 2014 has been dubbed The Year of Carolyne and Amanda. We met up on Wednesday partially to celebrate some audition and imdb success, but mostly to plan out exactly how we will make 2014 our year. We compared goals, found the ones that were the same, and came away with a list of things each of us had to research before the new year. We each still have our own personal goals, but I find it’s a lot easier to drag yourself to do…

Submissions, Screenings and Imdb :)
Hope everyone is recovering nicely from Thanksgiving feasts, or just the weekend if you don’t live in the States. I spent the past few days in Lake George, which was one step closer to experiencing a real American Thanksgiving, but I would like to one day spend it in a home, cooking and watching football with friends and family, not eating with my parents in a Denny’s. Even so, we had an amazing time, but this post is mostly about all the really cool things that happened last Wednesday after I finished the post. First of all, once I was done blogging, I rewatched all of the takes Suzanna shot…

25 Things To Do Before I Turn 25
This isn’t so much a post, as a list. I have a lot of interesting things going on that I will write about once they are more concrete, but in the meantime, I am going to share this. Last week when I was filming, our makeup artist mentioned that she had completed 23 of the 25 items on her list of things to do before she turns 25. She gave a few examples of things on her list, and I figure it would be a great deadline to accomplish some goals. This list is hopefully realistic, and I fully intend on completing all 25 before April 11th 2015. I will…

My “Little Blog” is a Year Old!
I had a really fun week, although I also hurt my arm. Tuesday, I went to my first stunt class, which was awesome, although a handstand during the first half hour meant I spent the following morning at the clinic, and now have to wear a bandage thing on my arm for the next week. Even so, I loved the class, and can’t wait to learn more. We did sword fighting, hand to hand fighting, trampoline jumps, falling from a ledge onto a mattress…super exciting! Today, I was showered with love for my birthday, had coffee with some fellow actresses and went to acting class. I am with Carolyne this…
