• Happy First Birthday SOG!!!

Happy Birthday Shards of Glass! Exactly one year ago today, I published my first novel, effectively making me a published author. I was blown away by the support I received from friends, family, and even complete strangers. If you’re considering a venture into self-publishing, here are 10 Things I Didn’t Do, That I Wish I Had: 10- Create a Logline As soon as you tell someone you’re writing a book, they will ask, “What is it about?” It took me forever to come up with a succinct way of explaining Shards of Glass (It’s about a girl who is forced to live with her father, that she hasn’t seen since…

  • Book Two is Out!

As of this morning, Destiny (The Owens Chronicles Book Two) is out in the world! It follows Lucy, Embry and Gabriel as they travel to New Orleans and make some new discoveries about Lucy and her ancestry. It was so much fun to write and I hope you guys enjoy reading it. I’ll write a longer series of posts about the nitty-gritty of indie publishing if anyone is interested, but today is about celebrating the fact that Destiny is out there! The ebook is available on amazon and the actual book will be available wherever books are sold (so far Barnes & Noble and Amazon). The ebook will be 0.99$…

  • June Goals and Quarantine Woes

Whenever I feel like I am losing control or have too many unpredictables in my life, my favorite thing is to make plans. Often they’re plans for the future that I have hardly any control over, but it’s nice to dream about where I could be heading. I break down these dreams into more realistic steps that I have control over, then organize them into years and months and weeks, so I have the steps, should I choose to follow them. Because I love me some accountability, here are my June Goals: Finish a draft of Legacy, the third book in my Owens Chronicles trilogy Write a short Romance story…

  • Destiny Comes out June 11th!!!

Check out the awesome cover the people at 100covers came up with ^ And a little more info on what’s in store for Lucy in Book Two: I waited for the blow, but it didn’t come. • Halfway There <3

We are halfway through February, which I usually consider the longest month of the year. It always has the least days, but it feels like it is especially cold and drags on forever before the arrival of March and spring and happier things. This year, for some reason, it isn’t that bad. Which is ironic, because February has more days than ever this year, with the whole leap year thing. I’ve done some odd jobs to make money, some more fun that others. I’ve had some fun nights out, like a preview screening for The Assistant, and sensory training for some potential background work. Maybe that last one isn’t exactly…

  • First month of 2020

Almost every year, I spend the first few days (or weeks) of January planning. This year was no exception, as I broke down my goals and resolutions into monthly and weekly lists, researched acting classes and planned out my next two novels. As often happens, by the end of the month, half of it had changed. Here’s how I spent my first month of 2020.   Writing With the trilogy plotted in detail, my current task is to write it. It was hard to get started because another story was begging to be written, but I gave myself a few days to plot out that series, then hunkered down on…

  • 2020 Resolutions

Instead of a random list of resolutions for the year, I am going to share my goals in each of the important areas of my life, my WRAMPS, if you will 😉 WRITING Finish the Owens Chronicles Trilogy. Book One is already published, so I would like to write books 2 and 3, then edit them without a deadline looming so I can take the time to make them the absolute best that they can be.   Market and Promote my Books I dabbled a bit with facebook and amazon ads last year, but I would like to actually look into a course or something so I can figure out…

  • Looking back at 2019

One of my favorite things to do at the end of the year is to look back on all of the awesome things I got up to over the past 365 days. I tend to not get anywhere near accomplishing all of my goals and resolutions, but instead of focusing on that, I celebrate all of the progress I made. And all of the things I didn’t even know I wanted on my list.   Writing This one is incredibly exciting, because I accomplished something that has been a dream and a resolution for as long as I can remember. In August, I published my first book, Shards of Glass,…
